An one-shot, supposedly romance. XD Well, I thought I should try to write something new and long. Alternate Universe, not the usual ghost hunting and a supposedly long one-shot! Yeah! Longer than what I usually write! Not a thousand word one-shot! 🙂 I was inspired by a manga that I had read a long time ago. I don’t know why but this idea suddenly popped up into my mind.
This was first posted as a story but then I finished it in a one-shot! Enjoy and review! 🙂 And this story is in Mai’s view! It’s my first time writing in first persons view! I find writing in the third person’s view a lot more easier! XD Hope you enjoy reading!
Please tell me your honest opinion about this story! I won’t mind even if you don’t talk about all the good stuff! It’s okay to include some corrections! 😀 Thank you for reading and taking your time to review! I’m sorry if the transitions in the scenes are not proper, I will try and improve them. 🙂
Disclaimer: I do not own Ghost Hunt…No! No! No!
I looked at the person in front of me. His soft black hair blew along the cold wind. He looked at me with his cold blue eyes. I continued staring at him through my lifeless brown eyes. I dusted my dress, which seemed more like a maid’s uniform and tucked my soft brown hair behind my metal ear. When none of us spoke I started.
“I’m at your service, sir. Your father ordered me to look after you for a month until you become healthy again.” I said in a seemingly humanly voice. He sighed.
“I already told father not to send me robots to look after me.” He said in a highly annoyed voice. I looked down. The curtains moved a little as the wind passed through the window to touch his skin and my metal skin.
“Do you not need me sir?” I asked. He shook his head.
“I don’t need to have a robot look after me.” He said harshly. I bent my head
towards my right shoulder and lowered my eyes, hoping to show him the feeling of sadness.
“Father, who created me, told me that you are lonely because of your twin brother’s death.” I said in an emotionless voice. The maids who had been standing next to me bowed down.
“Please accept your father’s masterpiece. He said that he won’t be able to visit you this spring so he has sent you this robot. She has been named Taniyama Mai.” They informed. He sighed.
“And I am supposed to accept her.” He said. The maids nodded. He ruffled his black hair and looked at the lifeless machine. “A gynoid (Artificial women)…” He sighed.
“Yes.” I answered tentatively. My answer though didn’t seemed to impress him.
“Fine. Leave the robot and go prepare me some tea.” He ordered. They bowed down and left while I stood there staring at him with my lifeless eyes. “Do you want anything from me?”
“I thought why don’t we share a few things about each other so that I can store a few memories of you in my mind.” I said staring at him. He looked at me coldly. The expression on his face however wouldn’t affect me.
“Do you think that what you store in your hollow mind are all true memories?” He asked. I looked at him.
“I was told so.” I answered without any problem.
“Mai, do you think everything that you are told will serve you as a memory?” He asked once again.
“I was told so, sir.” I answered the same. He looked at her.
“Do you think everything that was told to you is right?” He asked. I nodded, not a bit hesitant.
“Father did not make any mistake while creating and programming me.” I said. He sighed. I lowered my head, looking at the perfect and clean white flooring.
“Fine, what do you want to know about me?
