Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has admitted that the feel-good factor has returned to the club, after the negativity of recent years.
The Italy international told his club’s official website of the positivity and optimism that has swept through Turin, after a productive pre-season which has brought Juve success in the transfer market, and good form in their friendly fixtures.
“We possess so enthusiasm this year, but it will be a challenge and more responsibility rests on our shoulders,” said Chiellini.
“This week we have our final pre-season games, and then our season begins. We are working hard to put into practice what the coach asks of us, and we want to be protagonists.”
The ex-Livorno man then touched on the tantalising prospect of playing at the new Juventus Arena, which will become the club’s new home.
“I’m really looking forward to playing at the new stadium, as there has been a lot of intrigue to see and experience our new Delle Alpi, as well as the atmosphere and the emotions that the fans and players will feel.”
