The Navitel Navigator update manual

PDA and smartphone update

To update Windows Mobile-based or Android-based PDA or smartphone, use one of the following methods:

Metod 1: update via *.cab file (*.apk for Android OS)

Copy the “NaviTel Activation Key. txt” to your PC or to the root folder of the SD (microSD) card;
Remove the “Navitel Navigator” software from your device (“Start – Settings – Remove programs” for Windows Mobile and “Settings – Applications – Manage Applications” for Android);
If a error appears, turn of the Today plugin (for Windows Mobile users only);
Start the File Explorer and ensure that the software is removed (for Windows Mobile users only);
Go to Authorization page and enter the site. After this, you can download a new software version from the Updates page (*.cab file for Windows Mobile and *.apk file for Android);
Copy the installation *.cab file (*.apk file for Android) to your device or to its flash card;
Launch the file from your device file manager: the installation will start;
After the installation copy the “NaviTel Activation Key. txt” file to “NaviltelContentLicense” folder on your device SD (microSD) flash card.

Metod 2: update via *.exe file

Copy the “NaviTel Activation Key. txt” to your PC or to the root folder of the SD (microSD) card;
Remove the “Navitel Navigator” software from your device (“Start – Settings – Remove programs” for Windows Mobile and “Settings – Applications – Manage Applications” for Android);
If a error appears, turn of the Today plugin (for Windows Mobile users only);
Start the File Explorer and ensure that the software is removed (for Windows Mobile users only);
Go to Authorization page and enter the site. After this, you can download a

new software version from the Updates page;
Connect your device to a PC and wait until the synchronization ends;
Launch the downloaded *.exe file;
After the installation, copy the “NaviTel Activation Key. txt” file to “NaviltelContentLicense” folder on your device SD (microSD) flash card.

Method 3: Update via Android Market (for Android only) *Recommended for Android devices*
This method works only if you installed “Navitel Navigator” using Market. Launch it and it will search for updates automatically. Then press the “Downloads” button, select “Navitel Navigator” and press “Update”.

Symbian smartphone update
To update the software on your Symbian smartphone:

Copy the “NaviTel Activation Key. txt” to your PC or to the root folder of the SD (microSD) card;
Go to Authorization page and enter the site. After this, you can download a new software version from the Updates page (*.sis file);
Copy the *.sis file to your device SD (microSD) flash card and launch it, using File Manager;
After the installation copy the “NaviTel Activation Key. txt” file to “NaviltelContentLicense” folder on your device SD (microSD) flash card.

IPhone update

To update the Navitel Navigator on the iPhone, launch the iTunes on your PC and download a new version of the navigation software. Then connect your iPhone to PC and synchronize it. As well, you can update via iTunes, installed on your smartphone, but note, that the update file can be more than 300Mb, so we recommend to use high-speed Internet connection.

PND update

To update the software on your PND, Go to Authorization page and enter the site. After this, you can download a new software version from the Updates page. Follow the instruction, which you can find near the update file: every PND has it’s own updating features.
