How to live in campsites

– Next summer I would like to go abroad. However, they say it is very expensive.
– It depends on how you go. There is always a possibility to save money.
– How did you manage to drive half of Europe and not to spend lots of money?
– First, we drove our own car, and second, we didn’t plan to stay in hotels for the night, but preferred campings. For this reason, during the winter I bought a carport, which can be fixed on the roof, and we had almost everything necessary for this trip: six bed, two-room tent with lounge and an awning, two gas ovens with one-time balloons, reminding balloons from deodorant, folding table of the size 120by70 cm, head lights, plastic plates and cups, different and quite compact dishes assembling like matryoshka. We also had two folding tourist chairs, which look more like arm-chairs. And I also bought an inverter for the car. It is a kind of device which allows getting 220 v from the car-lighter. We need this device for charging laptops, navigation system and cameras during the way.
Of course you need also learn about the way which you are going to take in the internet. You need to enter addresses and contacts of all hotels and camp sites in those places and towns where you plan to stay in. Ideally, it can be telephone numbers too.
Accommodations in campsites can be of 3 variants:
1) In bungalow
2) In tent
3) In camper
Bungalow is a separate house. It can be of two or three – bed kind. It can be super comfortable, like that one in Norway where we stayed in this small historic house of the 19th century. But it had all necessary accommodations including a dishwasher and with the whole entourage of last century: wooden furniture, leather arm chairs and coaches.
Bungalow can also be a room in long, clean cabins (barracks) with bunk beds like in a campsite “Wien West” on western outskirts of Vienna. And it can be a simple plastic caravan

which we used while staying in outskirts of Krakow. The caravan was with a tiny bathroom, where you can find a toilet, shower cabin and a small washstand.
Not every campsite has the place for tents. That is why before you plan to go camping, you need to find out information about it. For example, in Fussen, a town in South Bayern, we faced with a problem that hardly could we find the place for our tent – only in the third campsite which we visited. It was connected with a very big historical significance (meaning) of this place: not so far there are Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles, creations of the mad King Ludwig’s Bavarian II which are considered to be the most beautiful castles in the world. Due to these facts, it is very difficult to find a place to sleep at any time of year. But at the same time placement in a tent is the cheapest and the most democratic one. As a rule, fees for such accommodations are not more than 7-18 euro, regardless of the number of people staying there. The cost includes car place near the tent.
Camper is a kind of car-dacha, where everything is located inside of the car. It can be as a small minibus, but there are also campers of a big bus size where about 10 people can stay with a comfort. Camper stops off the campsite and is connected to electricity, water and sewerage networks. In each European camper there is sanitary unit, kitchen and different infrastructure, depending on the location.
Sanitary unit is a variety of cabins where you can find toilets, washbasins and shower cabins. You can also see free or paid machines for condoms in these units.
