Business one:one. script 3

1
I can’t stand it any longer!
Why? What’s up?
I’ve just been out for lunch with Phil and I had to pay for his meal yet again.
Well, you could just ask him for the money.
No, I’d rather not do that. It would be really embarrassing.
2
Why are you looking so angry?
Michelle’s smoking again and I hate it!
Have you told her that?
No, I’m not sure that’s such a good idea. She is the boss after all!
3
I feel really uncomfortable with Juan.
Mmm. Me too.
He’s always shouting and swearing, isn’t he? Frankly, I’ve had enough of it.
I know! Let’s do the same all afternoon and see if he likes it.
OK. That might work, I suppose.
4
I’ve got a headache! Sue’s been talking to her boyfriend on the phone again. You can’t imagine what they were talking about!
Why don’t you turn up the radio when she’s on the phone? When she asks you what you’re doing, you could tell her you don’t want to listen to her phone calls.
What a good idea! I’ll do that next time he calls.

This is just so unfair!
What is?
Here I am working away since eight o’clock this morning to finish this report, and John walks in at twelve expecting to leave at five to pick up his kids. There’s no way we’ll finish on time!
I think you should tell your boss.
It’s his problem, not yours.
I’d rather not have to do that, actually.
John would never speak to me again.

I wish Bill would stop taking my things.
I don’t mind him borrowing something, as long as he puts it back again afterwards.
Mmm. He does the same to me, too. I know! Let’s play a joke on him.
Let’s hide everything on his desk while he’s at lunch.
That way he might get the message.

/> That’s a good idea.
Even if it doesn’t work, we’ll have a laugh.
Shall we do it now?
Yeah, let’s.
3
I don’t think I can work with Ged any more,
Why’s that?
He does absolutely nothing all morning, and then disturbs me all afternoon when I’m trying to work. You could always ask for a transfer to another department.
I don’t think that’s such a good idea, actually.
I really like my job, and I don’t see why I should move just because of him.
4
Andy is driving me absolutely crazy!
Oh dear. What’s happened now?
He just won’t stop talking about his kids.
Honestly, you would think nobody else in the office had any, the way he goes on.
Well, perhaps he doesn’t realize he’s doing it.
Why don’t you talk to him about it?
Yes, that might work, I suppose.
It’d be better than doing nothing, anyway.
