When I hear the word “the Bahamas”, I think this is the most amusing paradise on the Earth. Wow!!! It is so fantastic. Just image palms, sun, ocean, islands… Sometimes dreams can come true.
All the islands of the Bahamas are low and flat with ridges. All the names of the islands are colorful and make your imagination work. The names are such as: Grand Bahama, Abaco, Great Inagua, Andros Island, Long Island, San Salvador Island, Acklins, Crooked Island, Exuma, Cat Island, and Bimini which is known as the gateway to the Bahamas. In fact, the Bahamas is an English-speaking country consisting of 29 islands, 661 cays, and 2,387 rocks. It is situated in the Atlantic Ocean north of Cuba, Hispaniola and the Caribbean Sea, northwest of the Turks and Caicos Islands, and southeast of the United States of America. The Bahamas has its own capital which is called Nassau. Bahamian culture is like fruit salad which you are familiar with or not. It depends on which fruits you taste. The culture of the Bahamas is a hybrid of African and European cultures because local people of the Bahamas are is the descendants of African slaves and European tourists influence on the Bahamian music and television, for example, the United States of America is one of the their closest neighbors. That is why the Bahamian culture becomes so unique. They have a lot of types of music such as: Calypso, Soca and Junkanoo. Most known is Junkanoo.
The Bahamas is a place where your dreams come true, where the sun is shining brightly, where you can feel freedom like a bird in the sky and where you can be yourself.
